I will be at Bookbar (4280 Tennyson Street, Denver, 720-443-2227) beginning at 5:00 PM, Sat. Dec. 7, for an intimate “cocktail hour” book event. And the best part is, we can drink wine–now that is my kind of bookstore!
The Penca restaurant book launch on Nov. 20 was a grand success, largely thanks to my friend, owner Patricia Schwabe, who provided the space, wine and hors d’oeuvres. I thank, too, my friend, art curator Joanne Stuhr, who hung for this event the 1920-era paintings of the heroine of my novel, Chrysis Jungbluth, and who also sent out invitations to her vast database of friends, colleagues, and clients. Thanks as well to my pal Michael Bernstein, owner of Colonial Frontiers antique store, who helped hang paintings and sent invitations to their own client list. Finally thanks are due to all of the guests who so generously supported my work by attending the party and purchasing novels. Thank you!
To launch my new novel, THE MEMORY OF LOVE, a reading and book signing will be held on Wed., November 20, beginning at 5:00 P.M. at Penca restaurant (50 E. Broadway, Tucson.) Penca is Tucson’s finest new downtown restaurant–serving sophisticated Mexico City cuisine, and with the city’s most innovative wine list. Hanging on the walls for the evening will be several paintings from the 1920’s, executed by the young Parisian artist, Chrysis Jungbluth–the passionate, free-spirited heroine of the novel. Please join us!
